The Outer Hebrides – Sound Construction?

A few months have passed since visiting The Outer Hebrides off the North West coast of Scotland.

Whilst I normally like to dive straight in and process as many images as I can soon after I return home, sometimes I think it pays to wait a while. The delay has a number of benefits but before I elaborate further, here are a few photographs depicting dereliction on the Isles of Harris and Lewis.

The Outer Hebrides are a chain of islands off the north west coast of Scotland on the European edge of the Atlantic ocean. The two largest islands are The Isle of Lewis which lies to the north and it’s adjoining neighbour, The Isle of Harris to the south. Although they are called islands they are in fact one land mass. Further to the south are the islands of North and South Uist, Benbecula and at the southern most tip Vatersay.
